We honor and celebrate our staff's diversity of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status.Job Description:SUMMARY:The person in this 15-hour per week position of Managing Editor will work directly with Thomas Marchevsky and Fernando Castrillon, the Editors-in-Chief of the European Journal of Psychoanalysis, one of the premier psychoanalytic journals in the world.The scope of the position covers many different aspects of the journal's operations and affords the Managing Editor an opportunity to interact with world-class psychoanalysts, philosophers, and other scholars.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Copy-editing journal texts and materials in preparation for publication
• Attending weekly zoom meetings with Editors-in-Chief
• Maintaining a system that consolidates and streamlines submission processes and communication
• Consolidating and organizing email distribution lists for the journal
• Assisting with journal events such as symposia and conferences
• Helping Editors-in-Chief with research related to journal articles
• Communicating and coordinating work with other journals
• Other editorial and journal-related duties as they ariseRequirements:QUALIFICATIONS /ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS
  • Must be a current student in the PsyD department
  • Proficiency in and ability to translate between languages other than English is a plusENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSOccasional work performed alone with the ability to work remotely from time to time. Collaboration and constant interaction with others.PHYSICAL ABILITIESThis position requires attention to detail, good memory, ability to work under deadline pressure, and oral and written communication skills.LOCATIONREMOTEAdditional Information:WAGES$18.67 per hour.NOTES TO CANDIDATE
