Job Description:

We have an opening in our Human Resources Department for a Benefits and Compensation Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the total rewards function for approximately 1,000 employees and partners within the US. This role is a key contributor in the administration and development of total rewards programs across the organization. This position can be based in any of our Bay Area offices.

Responsibilities Include:

Provide analytical and administrative support for all benefits plans.
Maintain current knowledge of trends in the areas of health & welfare, retirement, wellness and leaves, and, recommend new plans/plan changes to support business needs.
Administer legally required benefits filings and notifications such ACA Forms 1094-C and 1095-C, HCSO, etc.
Administer, audit and reconcile a variety of information including but not limited to: benefit enrollments, vendor premium payments, 401k contributions and calculations, and vendor records and reports.
Administer benefits invoicing, and auditing benefits and compensation data to ensure on-going data integrity.
Assist with the processing and auditing the entry of benefits elections for new hires, employees with qualifying life event changes, and annual open enrollment.
Assist with the annual open enrollment and annual plan renewal processes.
Assisting employees with questions/issues related to their benefits and compensation.
Responsible for routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis as required: including quarterly experience, claims analysis, financial reporting and annual enrollment reporting.
Provide functional support on payroll/HRIS as it relates to benefits including benefit deductions and performing system audits and testing.

Support the annual salary and bonus cycles by preparing and auditing compensation worksheets for distribution and approval.
Evaluate candidates and incumbents against market data and make salary recommendations for new positions or promotions.
Assist in reviewing new and revised job description submissions, creates new job code if applicable, and makes recommendations to hiring managers on appropriate content/format, pay grade, as well as the proper exempt classification.
Participate in compensation benchmark surveys.
Analyze internal and external compensation data for competitiveness.
Maintain and update staff pay ranges, and develop new ranges as needed.
Assist with data collection and analysis for ad hoc data requests, departmental reorganizations, budget preparation and proposals, and other compensation projects.

Excel proficiency, Word and PowerPoint skills and knowledge.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external client relationships.

Ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines.
Ability to handle and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.

Reporting to the Director of Compensation, Benefits and HR Systems and working closely with the Benefits and Wellness Manager, the qualified candidate will have 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in compensation and benefits. Prior experience with Workday Benefits and reporting preferred. Experience in a professional services/law firm environment a plus. Bachelor's degree preferred.
