Job Description:

Manufacturing Technician provides hands-on support to manufacturing operations. In this role no two days will be the same. From production support to fixture design and fabrication every day will offer a new challenge.

This position will report to Manufacturing Engineering Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Primary responsibility is to support day to day production operations.
--- Perform Failure Analysis for Internal Material Rejections.
--- Design and create custom production fixtures and jigs.
--- Manages Preventative Maintenance for all equipment and machinery.
--- Perform emergency machine, tooling, and equipment repairs.
--- Perform CNC machine set-up for operators including troubleshooting and training.
--- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
--- Perform other duties as assigned.

--- Meets or exceeds performance factors as defined in the Performance Management System.
--- Establishes and maintains effective channels of communications with managers, co workers, affiliates, vendors, and all other business contacts.
--- Uses equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards, and observes common sense rules of safety in all on the job activities.
--- Conducts self in a manner reflecting credit on Lin Engineering and encourages others to do the same.
--- Must present a neat, professional appearance.
--- A good sense of humor and belief in working as a cohesive team.
--- A strong work ethic who is self-motivated.

DELIVERABLES:
- KPI 1: Day to day production support is measured by reduction of Internal Material Reject Reports (IMRRs)
- KPI 2: New Product Introduction (NPI) will be measured by the amount of activities done to support NPI
- KPI 3: Continuous Improvement will be measured by participation with the Continuous Improvement Team (CIT)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
--- Associate degree (A.A.) preferred; or two years or more related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience using measuring tools including micrometer and calipers. Hands on experience related to electric motors preferred.


COMPUTER SKILLS
--- Proficient with MS Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
