Job Description:
As Senior Director, AI Product Marketing - Foundry Models you
will be responsible for Azure’s AI primary inferencing capacities:
Foundry Models. You will be accountable for defining and executing
the end-to-end product marketing strategy across Azure’s portfolio
of proprietary and open models, model inferencing services, related
products, and partner ecosystem. This is an, executive-facing role
focused on establishing Azure as the premier platform of choice for
production-scale AI workloads. You will work closely with product
engineering, sales leadership, internal marketing teams, brand,
finance, business development, and business planning to deliver
breakthrough messaging, drive global launches, and grow market
adoption among technical, business, and partner audiences. Your
remit spans strategy, positioning, solution mapping, competitive
differentiation, and influencing Azure’s roadmap through deep
customer and market insight. You will oversee a group of highly
qualified Prdoct Marketing Managers (PMMs), and be in a
cross-functional, matrixed leadership role with broad influence
across the Azure organization and the global field. The primary
location for this position is Redmond, WA. Additionally, there are
three other locations where this role may be based. Candidates who
do not reside in one of these four areas will be relocated to

Qualifications Masters Degree in Marketing, Computer Science,
Business or related field AND 6 years experience in business OR
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or
related field AND 8 years experience in business OR equivalent
experience. 6 years of people management experience. Preferred
Qualifications 10 years of product or product marketing leadership
experience in cloud, AI, or platform technology sectors, and
leading large, cross-functional teams. Experience driving
go-to-market strategy, launches, and growth for developer or AI/ML
platforms at global scale. Knowledge of cloud AI, foundation
models, inferencing, and related cloud technologies (Azure, AWS,
GCP, or equivalent). Experience translating technical capabilities
into customer value, with executive communication and storytelling
skills. Experience engaging with C-level customers, technical
decision-makers, and industry analysts. Prior experience scaling
platform adoption with Idependent Software Vendors (ISVs), large
enterprises, or vertical industry segments. Public speaking or
evangelism experience at technical, business, or industry events.
Experience working directly with AI model APIs, inferencing
platforms, or developer infrastructure. Familiarity with
open-source AI model ecosystems and developer communities. Product
Marketing M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the
U.S. is USD $155,800 - $277,200 per year. There is a different
range applicable to specific work locations, within the San
Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the
base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,400 -
$303,600 per year. Microsoft will accept applications for the role
until September 24, 2025. Responsibilities With your team, define
and drive Marketing Positioning Frameworks (MPFs), assets, and
customer evidence across the Azure AI Foundry Models stack, setting
the narrative for Microsoft’s AI inferencing capability. Own global
launch planning and readiness for new models, APIs, and inferencing
products. Lead cross-functional teams—including engineering, sales,
brand, and customer engineering—to drive adoption, awareness, and
competitive wins. Develop and scale customer listening mechanisms
and market intelligence to identify unmet needs, inform investment
priorities, and shape the product roadmap for Azure’s AI
inferencing platform. Translate technical capabilities into
compelling customer solutions, use cases, and scenarios that
demonstrate business value for priority verticals, industries, and
developer communities. Participate in and consult on the end-to-end
solution play alignment for Azure AI for Microsoft’s semi-annual go
to market strategy motions. Produce crisp one-pagers and exec
briefs that distill complex data/AI insights for decision-making
for matters of strategic importance. Serve as technical
thought-partner to PM/Engineering; evangelize roadmap at events and
with analysts. Own the marketing plan and investment strategy for
your portfolio, managing a multi-million dollar budget and setting
clear adoption, usage, and revenue targets. Build, lead, and
develop a team of product marketers, modeling Microsoft’s culture
of growth, inclusion, and technical excellence.
