Group/Division With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.Job Description/Preferred Qualifications We are searching for a systems engineer to join RAPID engineers to develop multi-column e-beam reticle inspection systems. The system includes many aspects of advanced, disruptive technology. The candidate will work closely with various subsystems including electron optics, electronics, high vacuum, precision mechanics, software, and algorithms. We are looking for an individual with passion for technology with exceptional work ethic, and with an attitude of performing far beyond expectations. Key responsibility The successful candidate will

  • Support product release, log and track system health data
  • Lead systems-related troubleshooting efforts
  • Have Flexibility for travel to customer sites
  • Support or lead a wide range of CIP engineering activities. Examples include:
    • Tool sensitivity improvements that relate to optics or other sub-systems
    • Improved diagnostics and controls that lead to increased tool up-time.
    • Conduct design engineering studies and related activities related to future longer-term product developmentPreferred Qualifications
      • Solid background in one of the following fields: electron-optics, high voltage, precision mechanics, vacuum, or electronics
      • Familiar with using statistics packages such as JMP, experience with script language (Python)
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMinimum Qualifications
        • Candidate with academic background of physics, electrical engineering or related field.
