The Role

Our Business Planner will drive strategic initiatives and support the development of long-term growth plans and
profitability goals. The right candidate will have experience with forecasting and inventory management, as well as
strong reporting and analysis skills. We are looking for someone eager to learn and willing to go the extra mile. In
this role you must be organized, detailed/task-oriented, and flexible.
This position collaborates heavily with multiple teams to achieve our financial and company goals. At SP we have a
strong culture of teamwork where it is about collective gain.
We are open to someone working remotely (state dependent) for this role.

Here's what a day at work may look like---
--- Manage the development of annual, seasonal, monthly, and weekly merchandise plans to maximize sales
and gross margin and maintain optimal inventory levels
--- Develop pre-season plans, recommend buy quantities and develop accurate receipt flow forecasts
--- Generate and communicate comprehensive department financial and product strategies
--- Actively participate in assortment selection and review, providing data and analysis to support decision-making
--- Reforecast OTB in-season based on current performance, present revised projections and
recommendations to cross functional partners and senior leadership
--- Create, maintain, and update tools, reports, etc. to support the needs of the business
--- Maintain key item ladder plans to ensure good in-stock position
--- Collaborate on best strategies to address product liabilities and develop action plans to liquidate in a
timely and profitable manner such as cancels, RTVs, and markdowns
--- Provide periodic reporting on business performance
--- Evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results
--- Additional duties and projects as required

About you---
--- 3-5 years of planning/merchandising experience
--- Project management experience and excellent quantitative skills
--- The right balance of creative and analytical thinking
--- Database utilization and functionality skills
--- Self-motivated, passionate, and humble
--- Computer Savvy (Excel Guru)
--- Comfortable with trend analysis and problem-solving skills
