Meticulous attention to detail? In this full-time role as a Triage Specialist, you will analyze events encountered by our vehicles and communicate them to engineering to impact product development. The triage process categorizes these events, identifies root causes and provides reports on performance. Your ultimate goal is to help drive rapid improvements in our self driving technology. In this role, you will

  • Thrive in a fast, fluid environment to understand the Aurora Driver's various modules, capabilities, and limitations
  • Support day-to-day team operations through triage review of on-road disengagements
  • Participate in peer-to-peer quality assurance to stay calibrated within the team
  • Join weekly refreshers and review sessions to keep up with on rapid & fluid changes to our workflow
  • Procure events encountered by the vehicle in real-world and simulated testing
  • Keep up with the latest changes, features, and performance of the Aurora Driver
  • Support high-priority company initiatives with flexibility and swift turnover
  • Document existing workflows for team organization, alignment, and visibility
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide developers on-road visibility
  • Generate reports of our autonomous on-road performance
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and potential solutions
  • Comfortably navigate through thousands of Jira tickets Required Qualifications
    • Complete tasks efficiently, with high quality and autonomy
    • Grasp new concepts and master new skills quickly
    • Clear and succinct communication skills
    • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to change, respond to various shifts in priorities and schedules, and modify methods or strategies to fit changing circumstances.
    • Ability to operate cross functionally within the Triage team as well as various teams across the organization
    • Exhibits excellent teammate qualities consistent with Aurora's mission and values Desirable Qualifications
      • 1+ year(s) of experience working with autonomous vehicles
      • 1+ years of experience working in triage or quality assurance
      • BS, preferably in a STEM field or other relevant area
      • Experience in Jira
      • Experience with C++, Python, or SQL
