Job Description Must be Bilingual in Spanish TITLE: Human Resources Specialist/ Generalist DEPARTMENT: Human Resources REPORTS TO: HR Manager Position Summary We are seeking a bilingual fluency English/Spanish Human Resources Specialist/ Generalist who is organized, can think out of the box, detail oriented and enjoys working in a fast paced environment. This position will be responsible for all new compliance, new hires, terminations, discipline coaching, time and attendance and changes in payroll. The Human Resources Payroll Specialist will process all medical, dental, life insurance, FSA, and 401K paperwork as well as COBRA and FMLA. In addition will assist in safety and managing incidents and administration of claims and follow up through Berkshire. Essential Duties and Responsibilities --- Administer compensation and benefits plans --- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes --- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives --- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise --- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace --- Assist in development of implementation of human resources policies --- Undertake tasks around performance management --- Gather and analyses data with HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates --- Organize and assist in annual employee performance reviews --- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form --- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and able to conduct and resolve employee relations and investigations --- Ensure compliance with labor and regulations --- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information a must --- Manage leave of absence, workers compensation, benefit administration and ensure associates are informed of all changes --- Works closely with safety committee with regard to company policies, practices and programs to address safety concerns; reports findings to management --- Assure that facility employment, employee relations, equal opportunity as well as health and safety policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state labor laws including the maintenance of necessary files, etc. --- Set up and maintain general control methods, records, and files as required for effective H.R. functions. --- Designs and administers associate recognition programs and activities that are designed to maintain and improve associate morale. REQUIRED: --- Must have ADP Workforce knowledge and experience --- Proven experience as an HR Generalist with attention to detail and proven results --- Demonstrate business acumen and ethical business practices --- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures --- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws --- Excellent communication and people skills --- Aptitude in problem solving and conflict resolution --- Desire to work as a team with result driven approach --- Additional HR training will be a plus --- Able to work in cold environment when necessary --- Able to work some evenings if required --- Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish Other Duties & Responsibilities --- May perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Work Environment Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) --- 3 year related experience. --- BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field --- Must be Bilingual English & Spanish oral and written communication skills --- Must pose the following skills: service orientation, coordination, active listening, monitoring, professional and respectful communication, confidentiality, critical thinking, judgment and decision making and time management skills --- Dependability: Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
