Overview

Come join the Central Innovation Team as a Principal Content Designer. Our team fuels innovation at Intuit, creating tools and resources that accelerate our product teams. We are a small team that moves quickly to meet our internal customers' needs.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or a scientific or engineering field or equivalent
• 5+ years' experience using Design Thinking in your work. Familiarity with Customer-Driven Innovation and Design for Delight is preferred
• 7 + years' experience as a technical writer or content developer
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including mastery of English language, grammar, structure, and punctuation
• Work samples that use an engaging, conversational tone to give your target audience confidence in their ability to perform tasks and the feeling that you care
• Experience with creating asynchronous learning content
• Experience writing scripts for short instructional videos or tutorials
• Superior organizational and time-management skills; demonstrated effectiveness managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Strong project and people management skills; ability to function as project leader as well as individual contributor
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and employ a growth mindset
• Comfortable with ambiguity. Can demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when the situation changes
  How you will lead
  
  
  • Directs and delivers content strategies, frameworks, and deliverables on a broad range of projects to drive innovation at Inuit
  • Use your broad expertise or unique knowledge and company priorities to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Work closely with user researchers, user interface designers, and product managers to understand key customer needs, set content goals, and iterate until those goals are met
  • Demonstrate a product ownership mindset. Lead the content-design process, drive decisions, create schedules, and track issues
  • Write clear and engaging content for web, desktop and/or mobile applications.
  • Validate your deliverables by performing content reviews with customers and stakeholders
  • Provides team members with guidance on content design issues
  • Leads content design community within innovation team and periodically presents at or leads local external content-related events.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the company
