User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of

As a User Experience Researcher (UXR), you'll help your team of
UXers, product managers, and engineers understand user needs.
You'll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and
delightful products. Working with stakeholders across functions and
levels, you'll have impact at all stages of product development.
You'll explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary
research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies,
participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing,
and logs analysis.
The UXR community at Google is unique and will help you do your
best work. You'll have the opportunity to work with and learn from
UXRs across Google through regular meetups, mentor programs, and
access to internal research tools.
As a member of the Equity Engineering team, you will partner
with Equity Engineering to advance and iterate on the tools,
modalities, and frameworks of equity-focused, community-based
participatory research and participatory design/co-design, and help
further these practices across the UX organization.
- Design and conduct user research, assist in the design and
implementation of early-stage design and product definition
activities, and communicate research insights to stakeholders and
- Examine existing data and product designs to generate
hypotheses and plans for high-impact research. Prioritize and drive
research to improve user experience through multi-method research
projects, in collaboration with qualitative researcher
- Develop statistical models to understand user experience. Drive
change by communicating findings to stakeholders in the company.
Make research findings convincing and actionable for both research
experts and non-experts.
- Coordinate with other teams and researchers, who work on other
internal tools or design process innovation for hiring,
progression, and retention programs.
- Engage Product, Engineering and Design teams in research
activities, and advocate findings to product and leadership teams
through written reports and in-person presentations.
