Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital/departmental policies. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her/his direction) and for the delivery of care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing. The Clinical Nurse provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes. All aspects of the Clinical Nurse's performance supports service excellence and a healing environment.Outpatient Surgery DepartmentMay be assigned to multiple procedural areas. For example: Outpatient Surgery Department, Radiology and EndoscopyQUALIFICATIONSEducationGraduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.ExperienceLabor & Delivery-(MV & LG)Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.License/CertificationsRegistered Nurse License - California Board of Registered NursingBasic Life Support - American Heart AssociationAdvanced Cardiac Life Support Certification - American Heart AssociationNeonatal Resuscitation Program - American Academy of PediatricsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to communicate in English and to perform potentially complex speaking, reading, writing, and mathematics.Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate appropriately.Ages of Patients ServedThis position will serve all age groups one year of age or greater.The Physical Requirements and Working Conditions of this job are available.
