importance. To achieve this goal, the HDME (Hardware Development
Management and Engineering team is instrumental in defining and
delivering operational measures of success for hardware
manufacturing, improving the planning process, quality, delivery,
scale and sustainability related to Microsoft cloud hardware.
We are seeking an Embedded Systems Technical Program Manager to
come join our team. This role involves working with multiple
R&D groups internal and external to Microsoft to collaborate on
emerging technologies and helping to incubate those technologies to
production-ready states for deployment. To do so, you will
coordinate development activities across multiple organizations
bridging hardware, software, firmware, and more. This role requires
a solid understanding - and experience with - embedded systems and
related component design.
+ Driving architectural requirements derived from product
planning into hardware and software teams.
+ Partnering with Engineering teams and ODM to drive server
+ Managing schedules, deliverables, product costs, and
+ Organizing, presenting, and documenting technical and program
reviews/status to Senior Management.
+ Develop quality engineering programs which re-define how
validation is performed in a hardware plus software program with
+ Communicate with precision and clarity to drive alignment in
both small and broad teams.
+ Effectively collaborate, build relationships and influence
cross-functional team members to achieve product perfection.
+ B.S/M.S. in Electrical or Mechanical or Computer Engineering
or relevant field
+ 10+ years of relevant experience in Hardware and Embedded
Systems design across all stages of the development and release
+ 5+ years of Hardware product development experience
+ Great understanding of hardware product development phases
+ Cloud Server and infrastructure hardware development
+ Thermal and CFD experience
+ Immersion cooling experience
+ Demonstrated cross-functional and cross-org experience.
+ Enthusiastic learner and willing to find simple solutions for
+ Experience working across disciplines and organizations to
resolve complex issues.
+ Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
+ Experience with product testing
+ Excellent debugging skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - cross-group
and cross-culture collaboration.
