Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + Experience in technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing. Preferred qualifications: + Experience writing and maintaining large documentation sets. + Experience leading content strategies or instructional designs across teams or projects. + Experience with analytics and content-related metrics, and content quality and performance. + Track record of successful partnerships with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, UX, and developer marketing. + Strong planning, structuring, and organizing skills. Innovative, experimental, self-motivated. + Excellent communications skills; ability to influence stakeholders, developers, and business audiences. The site is the primary learning and enablement resource for Android developers. Its the official public face of Android for developers, encompassing resources for the core platform as well as products like Google Play, Android Studio, Jetpack, Kotlin, and others. Its the authoritative source of guidance for professional developers and a key starting point on the road to Android development for millions of learners worldwide. As Editor in Chief, youll drive alignment, quality, and high-level content strategy for documentation and other resources across . Youll partner with stakeholders across products and technologies to deliver consistent, well-targeted content that inspires and educates our developers. This role is part of Android DevRels tech writing and website team, and youll also work extensively with our engineers and program managers to identify developer needs and build helpful technical learning resources for Androids products and APIs. + Align developer narratives and themes across content on . Work with content teams to ensure consistency in design, structure, and quality. + Build technical content and messaging for core developer journeys and themes. + Manage how content is presented in different resource types; define the purpose, substance, and structure of templates and modules. + Maintain site information architecture across site navigation, page-level navigation, cross-linking, and content discovery.
