The Senior Content Operations Manager will join our content team, which plans, executes, and optimizes content for students, teachers, test preppers, parents, college credit seekers, and more. We create content for learners at every stage of their educational journey and take pride in a content approach that breaks learning down into bite-size, easy-to-understand chunks. We help learners succeed while also making learning more flexible and engaging.

The Senior Content Operations Manager will help develop and execute the next stage of our content strategy and collaborate with other leaders to inspire and motivate our team to even higher performance.The Senior Content Operations Manager also manages 4-8 direct reports through performance feedback, mentorship, and career development support.

About the Senior Content Operations Manager Position


  • Support management of our library of 1.5M+ pieces of educational content, including processes for new content creation, content updates, and content integrations with the product
  • Research and understand content and education trends and industry news
  • Use your insights and experience to develop strategic content proposals to grow, improve, or evolve our content library
  • Explore content initiatives to help further its competitive advantage and market leadership
  • Develop strategies for process optimizations
  • Manage content production pipelines to meet budget goals
  • Inspire your direct reports and other team members to high performance, including setting and achieving stretch goalsand mentoring team members
  • Collaborate with product managers and department heads to align content needs and deliverables
  • Lead content sub-teams working on complex priorities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and C-level leaders to stress-test ideas, get buy-in, and develop the strategy


  • 7-10 years of experience in ed tech or online content development
  • 3+ years people management experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent Ability and interest to be strategic and hands-on
  • Skilled at creative problem solving and adapting to a changing environment
  • First-hand experience in education or teaching
  • In-depth experience with SEO
  • A bias towards getting things done
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Please Note: With the current shelter-in-place orders, new employees are being onboarded and working remotely. Once the order is lifted and its safe to return to the office, this position will be located in our office in Mountain View, CA.
