Its an ambiguous and iterative process, so weve worked hard to create a team environment where collaboration and creativity can flourish, and where people always feel comfortable bringing their unique perspectives and expertise to the table.Role:As a Sensing Engineer focusing on Signal Processing, you will take part in R&D and design of a world-leading sensing platform which includes imaging and non-imaging sensors. Specifically, you will design, optimize, tune and calibrate our sensors processing pipeline. You will also work collaboratively with other teams within X to develop a holistic robotics vision, and bring it to life.Responsibilities:Research, invent and design a world-leading robotic sensing platform Invent, optimize, tune and characterize algorithms for signal/imaging processing (including camera pipelines)Analyze and trade off sensor and sensor processing solutionsMinimumQualifications:BS degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Deep expertise in one of the following:Camera pipeline algorithms, image processing algorithms, sensor calibration, computer visionStrong problem solving and analytical dispositionPreferred Qualifications:Experience developing image processing algorithms for cameras or other related sensorsProficiency is programming (c/c++, python)Experience in a product development environmentExperience with one of the following: Camera calibration, depth sensing, computer vision, SoC, FPGAExcellent project management skills.About X, the moonshot factoryX creates radical new technologies to solve some of the worlds biggest problems.
