With 93 satellites already in orbit, Swarm provides connectivity to customers across agriculture, maritime, logistics, global development, energy, etc. From creating more efficient global supply chains and reducing crop spoilage, to tracking endangered species and monitoring water access in Africa, the number of use cases that the Swarm network supports is almost unlimited.Swarm developed the world's smallest communication satellite, and will have 150 in orbit by the end of 2021. Our team ambitiously handles everything in-house, from hardware and software, to design, testing, regulatory, marketing, sales, and more. This allows us to move quickly, be agile to changes in demand, and constantly improve our products.We are a small, scrappy team that moves quickly and takes calculated, data-driven risks. We are collaborative and support one another everyday. We're looking for team members who are eager to wear many hats, want to have a major impact within a company, and are ready to jump into a high-growth, high-velocity startup environment.The roleWe are looking to hire our first Sales Manager to lead Swarm's sales team and go-to-market processes. You will work with your teammates to leverage strong organization and communication skills, resolve complex challenges, and deliver insights that help our team prioritize its efforts and ensure results for our customers. You will manage Swarm's sales team, improve the efficiency of our sales processes, and work cross-functionally to drive customer adoption and success. This person must be able to work out of our Mountain View, CA office.Your impactManage and grow Swarm's sales team to successfully achieve revenue goals.Execute sales plan through prospecting, needs assessment, negotiation, and closing deals.Manage pipeline and lead forecasting efforts that inform company strategy and planning.Engage with senior decision makers (CXO, VP) in Swarm's target markets to close new business.Coordinate with marketing and operations teams for deployments and drive customer success.What we're looking for1+ years of experience directly managing a sales or sales development team.5+ years of total experience in technology sales.Experience at an early-stage technology startup.Experience (as an individual contributor or manager) with an indirect/channel sales model is preferred.Experience selling into SBM and/or mid market-sized companies is preferred.Experience with deeply technical and complex solutions where requiring system-level integration is preferred.What you'll get with SwarmThe opportunity to create and deploy truly world-changing technology with a significant impact.Constant learning from your colleagues and our amazing array of international customers.
