Join us in our mission! The Systems Architect is responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of AliveCor's end to end systems. You will collaborate with many diverse teams to define cutting edge system solutions. Those designs will incorporate end user needs, partner needs, scale, performance, reliability, monitoring, security, compliance and seamlessly integrate with existing applications, systems, and platforms. You will communicate and evangelize design tradeoffs to executive staff, the engineering organization and Alivecor partners. You will research, identify, evaluate the latest technology products required for solution delivery. Responsibilities:

• Lead strategically across AliveCor Kardia products
• Realize target architecture advancing business and information technology strategies
• Clearly define high level system architectures and interfaces
• Analyze current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and suggest enhancement solutions
• Analyze industry and market trends to identify impact on enterprise architecture.
• Evangelize architecture vision, design and govern it's implementation
• Represent technical team to the Alivecor organization and external partners
• Function as subject matter expert and system architecture authority for systems integration
• Collaborate daily with internal and external stakeholders in all aspects of Alivecor technical design
• Design and document key system components, interfaces, infrastructure and communications
• Clearly articulate the trade-offs, benefits and risks of all architecture and design solutions to all stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance to teams during the solutions' development and deployment phases Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technology related field
  • A minimum of 5+ years of technology experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Fluent in Lean and Agile methods
  • Expert in modern programming languages and technologies
  • Expert with Design Thinking and user experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and suggest solutions
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud and on-premise solutions
  • Experience with database migration patterns
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the functional design and architecture of application systems across multiple technical domains and platforms
  • Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions using best in class IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Experience with enterprise applications (architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting).
  • Extensive knowledge of software development full lifecycle methodologies, patterns, frameworks, libraries and tools
  • Ability to work independently as well as function as an integral part of a team, take initiative and contribute in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendors, business users, and executives, and the ability to communicate technical solutions in business terms.
