We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer for BI who is a driven individual with excellent engineering & automation skills, demonstrated leadership in their role, and a passion for delivering data-driven solutions. Data Engineers are accountable for the design and implementation of solutions that meet business, functional and non-functional requirements, and standards in the Business Intelligence space. They promote offering and technical innovations; they use their knowledge of current and emerging technologies and apply innovative thinking to help these teams create successful new offerings leveraging the technical innovations across the spectrum of building, buying and partnering to achieve solutions. What you'll bringBE in computer science or engineering equivalent work experience5 years of scripting experience in the following: CloudFormation, API, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, SQL Scripting, JavaAWS Architecture, network, security, cross-account configurations, Transfer Family services, IAM Roles and Policies, AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification or equivalent experienceAWS Administration Experience in Tableau, QlikSense, QuickSight or Alteryx a big plusExperience in ad-hoc data analysis, reporting & dashboard development a big plusOperating High Availability Services bringing a critical Dev-Ops mind-set to incident management is a mustExpertise in Capacity planning, Infrastructure upgrades, patching, maintenance is a must.Desired managing both Windows and Linux server environmentsAbility to work individually and independently within a geographically diverse teamOutstanding communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleaguesProactive and inquisitive learner who seeks out and capitalizes on opportunities for change that enhance the business, rather than reacting to circumstancesStrong organization, time management and task prioritization skillsHow you will leadAutomate AWS deployments with CloudFormation and create integrations with other use cases & platforms.Responsible for installation, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and support of (BI) applications and services in Amazon Web Services (AWS)You will be required to develop & support automation tooling and platforms using your deep technical expertise of networking and operating systems. You will be asked to diagnose complex interconnected services, perform auditing, and analyze performance metrics. Work with cross-functional teams as owner of a project life cycle, including content security, user provisioning, application capacity management, deployment and troubleshooting.Collaborate with architects and database admins to implement and maintain security of the business intelligence environment both in terms of access and data.Develop standards, policies and procedures that ensure long term system health and growth.Responsible for leading the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. Identifies, researches, and resolves complex technical problemsLiaison between the information technology, business units, support teams and vendors.Design, develop, test and implement operational/Analytics reports, scorecards, benchmarks and executive level dashboards.Ensure reporting solutions are scalable, repeatable, effective, and meet expectations for a variety of stakeholders.Team Player possessing strong analytical, problem solving, communication skills and be willing to share expertise with others
