functions and geographies.
20 years of marketing experience, culminating in a CMO role,
Executive Leadership Team, or equivalent.
MBA, advanced degree, or equivalent.
Experience working with Product to build, design, and conceive
products and experiences and demonstrated understanding of what
makes a great product.
Hands-on experience managing large, high-performing, global
teams in a in a multi-billion dollar business.
Proven track record shaping established global brand(s) and user
experiences through actionable insights and recommendations.
Demonstrated creative and performance-minded thinker that isn’t
afraid to take risks and challenge conventions to get to
breakthrough work and results.

About the job As the Marketing Vice President for Android,
Google Play, and Developer Relations, you will be a fully dedicated
business leader, helping shape the future of the Android ecosystem
and Google Play. Though you are a strategic thinker and seek to
position Google’s products for success, you will also be scrappy,
entrepreneurial, and willing to roll up your sleeves to help bring
our products to market. From determining positioning, naming,
competitive analysis, helping product with feature prioritization,
and external communications, you and your team will play an
integral role across every facet of the product's journey. You will
juggle several strategic priorities at once and work closely with
teammates from across different functions. You will build impactful
campaigns, deliver the Go-to-Market plans, and partner with
cross-functional leaders to shape overall strategy. You will also
set the Developer Relations marketing agenda and deliver a series
of global events for the Android Developer community.
You will oversee the Google Play Marketing team, Google’s
digital entertainment destination to experience digital movies, tv
shows, books, magazines, and Android apps and games.
You will steward the Android brand and help drive user
engagement across the platform. This includes Android Wear, Auto,
TV, and more.
You will drive the engagement of the Android developer community
through a series of events and community programs. This will
include driving the successful usage and adoption of developer
tools like Flutter and Firebase.

Responsibilities Influence the Android and Play cross-functional
Leadership Team and contribute to the Android Marketing vision,
strategy, and culture.
Lead product and feature definition, positioning, messaging,
naming, customer identification, and discovery strategy. Ensure all
Marketing efforts drive impact measured by consumer acquisition and
engagement, business/market share, and promoter score.
Lead brand narrative, consumer communications strategy, campaign
idea, creative expression in advertising, social, owned and
operated channels, events experiential etc. Build strong consumer
acquisition and engagement programs that attract and engage users
to build a loyal consumer base.
Develop strategic go-to-market programs via co-marketing
partnerships with Original Equipment Manufactures, carriers, and
retails. Manage senior level industry partner relationships to
plan, develop, and execute integrated Android and Chromebook launch
and marketing plans in priority markets.
Build, lead, and inspire a diverse, global marketing team.
