Senior Qualitative Insights Lead, Product and Tools Operations
Bachelor's degree in a social science, behavioral research, market
research, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
9 years of experience designing, conducting, and analyzing
online qualitative research studies.
Experience developing and delivering presentations to executive
Experience with data analytics, data science, and modeling.
Master's degree or MBA (emphasis in qualitative research) or 5
years of experience in social science or market research.
Deep experience with statistical applications/languages (e.g.,
Python, R, STATA, SAS, SPSS).
Understanding of the benefits and limitations of different
qualitative research methods, with experience utilizing Data
Engineering/Data Management skills.
Knowledge of qualitative research methods, including experience
distilling findings from in-depth telephone interviews.
Knowledge of the digital advertising space and familiarity with
Google Ads products, with the ability to manage multiple projects
About the job gTech’s Product and Tools Operations team (gPTO)
leverages deep user, operational, and technical insights to
innovate Google's Ads products into customer experiences that are
so intuitive (or automated) that they require no support at all.
gPTO partners closely with gTech’s Support, Professional Services,
Product Management, and Engineering teams to innovate and simplify
our Ads products and build the productivity tools ecosystem for
The Customer Experience (CX) Lab Qualitative team focuses on
bringing the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams
via data backed insights with the goal of making our ads products
more customer centric.As a Qualitative Insights Lead, you will
scope, design, execute, and analyze complex qualitative studies.
You will also shape and contribute to the development of an
analytics platform for automating open ended comment analysis,
performing text analytics and broaden data modeling and analysis on
qualitative datasets. You will exemplify best practices to ensure
that the CX Lab’s survey research meets the highest professional
standards. You are passionate about using customer research to
drive actionable impact for the products and tools used by Google

Responsibilities Build out a system/tool for automating open end
comments analysis. Implement system/tool usage for conducting meta
analysis for projects and across qualitative research projects.
Lead complete qualitative research projects, including research
design, development, analysis, and insights-sharing phases of
qualitative research projects, collaborating with cross-functional
stakeholders throughout the process.
Ensure the qualitative research identifies key insights by using
the highest scientific standards for thematic coding, quality
control techniques, and in the analysis of findings.
Identify and message actionable insights through written
reports, self-service dashboards, and compelling stakeholder
