sales, and more. We are looking for a talented Software Development
engineer to join a high-caliber team delivering products and
services for Amazon Ads Exchange team. This role is for you if are
self-driven, experienced, motivated software engineer with a proven
track record of building low-latency / high volume ad serving
systems and services. Bonus if you are also comfortable handling
big data queries and analytics - that is an integral part of what
we do. We use Java and AWS technologies heavily. In this role, you
will: - Think big, bringing fresh ideas and interactions optimizes
for a healthier publisher ecosystem. You take a long-term view of
architecture, proactively fixing deficiencies and/or proposing
larger projects. You understand the business impact of your systems
and show good judgment when making technical trade-offs. You are a
key influencer in team strategy. You bring perspective and provide
context to guide future technology choices. Your code submissions
and approach to work are exemplary. You write software that is easy
for others to contribute to. You drive engineering best practices
(e.g., Operational Excellence, Security, Quality, etc.) and set
standards. When confronted with discordant views, you are able to
find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path
(build consensus). You contribute to the professional development
of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge and engineering
practices. You ensure your team is stronger because of your

Internal job description Basic qualifications - Bachelor's Degree
in Computer Science with advanced degrees preferred. - 5 years of
non-internship professional software development experience - 5
years of programming with at least one software programming
language experience - 5 years of leading design or architecture
(design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing
systems experience - Experience with full software development life
cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control
management, build processes, testing, and operations - Experience
building high-performance, highly-available, and scalable
distributed systems, in a UNIX environment - Experience building
complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to
customers · - Deep technical expertise and hands-on architectural
understanding of cloud-scale distributed and service-oriented
architectures. Preferred qualifications - 5 years of full software
development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews,
source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
experience - Master’s degree and/or PhD preferred in mathematics,
computer science, or related discipline · - Experience in building
and driving adoption of new tools · - A deep understanding of
software development life cycle and a good track record of shipping
software on time · BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5 years of non-internship
professional software development experience - 5 years of

experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an

the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base
pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest
geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic
market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market
location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills,
