Leading organizations leverage Valence to empower their business to securely adopt SaaS.Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced and driven Software Engineering Team Lead to head our API Integration efforts across diverse SaaS platforms. This role will combine hands-on development with strategic team leadership. You will guide a team of engineers to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient API solutions, ensuring seamless integration and management of security-related data from multiple sources. • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers focused on API development and integration, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
• Design, architect, and oversee the implementation of API integration solutions that enable secure access to and management of security data from various SaaS platforms.
• Drive technical excellence by setting coding standards, conducting code reviews, and guiding best practices in API development and data processing.
• Ensure operational excellence by monitoring API performance, implementing observability tools, and leading troubleshooting efforts.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in SaaS APIs, integration frameworks, and data security, and ensure the team remains on the cutting edge.
• Own team roadmap planning, execution, and delivery timelines.Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role.
  • Strong proficiency in Go and proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs. Including CLIs (command line interfaces)
  • Deep understanding of OAuth2, API authentication mechanisms, and secure data handling practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead complex technical projects end-to-end.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of cross-functional partnership.Nice To Have
    • Experience working with or integrating SaaS platforms (e.g., Okta, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, etc.)
    • Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Previous experience scaling engineering teams and helping shape hiring and onboarding processes.
