JOB DESCRIPTION - -NASA Data Systems Test and Software Operations
Support Engineer
QTS is looking for an early career customer-focused Test Engineer
or Business Systems Analyst to take on two significant and visible
roles: 1) black-box testing/SQA of NASA IT/data systems (see
below), 2) system operations/maintenance and customer technical
support for PMT.
Program/Project Management Tool (PMT) is a comprehensive,
web-enabled business intelligence application assisting NASA
enterprises to monitor, disseminate, and track the progress of NASA
Program and Project milestones as well as their line-of-business
processes and the corresponding resources, such as budgetary
allocations. The tool provides Chief Financial Office (CFO) the
ability to develop budget phasing plans and display monthly
plan-versus-actuals reports at various Work Breakdown Structure
(WBS) levels for NASA centers and programs/projects.
Near Earth Objects (NEO) is a project to develop web-based
resources for the planetary defense community to collate and
disseminate physical characteristics of Near-Earth Asteroids (NEA)
and Meteorites (hence Objects). Additional NASA public site

The Small Spacecraft Systems Virtual Institute (S3VI) is a virtual
multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary collaboration institute
within the small spacecraft research to advance the field of small
spacecraft systems and applied sciences. - The S3VI common web
portal will perform data consolidation, integration, and federated
search capabilities with designated small satellite and spacecraft
domain data products and heterogeneous domain specific data

The Flight Opportunities Program (FOP) Flight Opportunities seeks
to increase the availability and affordability of space technology
flight tests by employing commercial flight services and
developmental partnerships. Through Flight Opportunities, NASA
Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) selects promising
technologies from industry, academia and government, and tests them
on commercial launch vehicles. -The Flight Opportunities Reporting
System (FORS) web-based software will facilitate the management of

Responsibilities:
While adhering to NASA's agile lifecycle software development
process, perform black-box testing/SQA of NASA IT/data systems, and
address the requirements for the PMT software operations and
maintenance support.

Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering,
Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, IT Systems
Management, or related disciplines
Year(s) of Experience: 2+ years of experience
