Role and Responsibilities You will be a part of Samsung eCommerce platform engineering team, where you will work with a dedicated mentor and other experienced engineers on a Platform enhancement projects and you will gain exposure and growth expertise on a wide palette of cutting-edge technologies.About the Work

• Take an open-source software and build a reliable and scalable software platform from it. For example, building a monitoring system using Opentelemetry SDKs and frameworks, with Prometheus/Jaegar/Grafana etc.. building a PubSub system using Kafka.
• Develop systems / components to improve operation simplicity and system reliability. For example, deployment automation and diagnosis tools
• Troubleshoot and fix reliability bugs in our platform services and Infra and/or report them to our software engineering teams
• Guide systems architecture by participating in design reviews and offering suggestions for reliability and optimization of production systems
• You will work closely with our QA, DevOps, Software Development engineers and architects. Skills and Qualifications Qualification
  • Enrollment in or completion of a degree program related to Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering etc
  • Previous related experience in software engineering (applicable coursework, projects, internships, etc.)
  • Strong interest in UNIX/Linux systems and/or DevOps
  • Experience with Java/JavaScript frameworks such as Node.js or React prefered
  • Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills and problem-solving ability
  • Strong technical background with analytical and excellent problem-solving skills
