Our cloud, virtualization, and cloud-native solutions portfolio continues to grow, and we're on an aggressive path to do even more!The FlashArray Integrations & Evangelism team is responsible for highlighting the core capabilities of the FlashArray family of products and the underlying platform. The role of Principal Technical Evangelist is to work with Product Managers and Product Marketing to understand the latest features and what should be highlighted. Highlighting features follows a defined bill of materials that can be communicated across many different avenues to build awareness. Those include: social media, Transfer of Information to support, articles published to , light boards, demo videos, example scripts (as needed). Engaging cross-group with our field sales organization is a critical component to educate both internal Pure employees and our partner channel.Along with highlighting the core capabilities of the FlashArray it will be critical to weave in the work that the integrations Product Managers deliver. PMs deliver our various integrations which include: Microsoft SQL Server, VSS, PowerShell SDK, Oracle Enterprise Manager, System Center, SMI-S and Windows Admin Center. Collaborating across the team and groups will be a key measure of success for adoption of features and integrations.What You Will Be Doing
    • Be a thought leader creating content that highlights the new features and integrations for FlashArray.
    • Working cross-group on solutions planning that aligns with application workloads and new FlashArray features.
    • Create compelling multimedia assets in the interest of building and engaging with a set of audiences; field sales, partners, developer communities, engineering and support.
    • Build relationships and interface with influencers, analysts, tech bloggers, open source contributors, and product community leaders and become the public "voice" of the FlashArray BU
    • Work cross functionally with Product Management, Product Marketing Management and Engineering to develop a clear and consistent narrative that tells the story of the FlashArray platform and features.
    • Manage external communications that would include blogs, video demonstrations, podcast and other technical collateral that highlights FlashArray.
    • Communicate schedules, priorities, and status for various groups in the company
    • Understand high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate communication, feedback, and drive decisions on appropriate collateral.
    • Work directly with customers in pre/post sales efforts and to gain a deeper understanding of customer challenges.
    • Support the growth and development of other Technical Evangelists.
    • Facilitate cross Business Unit (BU) collaboration to share best practices and improvements.
    • Working directly with Product Marketing on technical campaigns. Manage cross-functional coordination, internal/external team communications, dependencies and blockers to deliver technical content on time with high quality.
    • Combine technical knowledge, subject matter expertise, industry trends to identify improvement opportunities and influence business decisions. What You'll Need To Bring To This Role...
      • At least 5+ years of evangelism experience with exceptional presentation and conversation skills and a proven record of accomplishment of effectively driving/participating in podcasts, writing blog post, creating video demonstration, hold "fireside chats", interviews, and delivering Ted-talk like presentations
      • Foundational understanding of storage; Block (iSCSI & Fibre Channel), and core services such as replication, data reduction and performance.
      • Foundational understanding of infrastructure technologies (servers, VMware, K8, Networking, data protection software, etc.)
      • Demonstrated success in positioning and launching differentiated products that meet or exceed business objectives
      • Ability to think outside the box on new approaches of communication and community engagement.
      • Knowledge of application workloads and how they run on block storage solutions. Real-world experience with Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell and a bonus if experience with Oracle.
      • Comes with a point of view on block services based on real-world experience and the challenges and opportunities its growth presents to end users, and to the storage industry; can speak to the topic at multiple altitudes and with a variety of audiences
      • Has a passion for helping customers fix everything that is wrong with storage
      • Ability to challenge status quo, handle ambiguity and work with cross-functional teams within the FlashArray Business Unit and the marketing organization to develop and execute innovative plans to achieve the desired outcomes
      • Bachelor of Computer Science, significant IT/Storage/System Administration experience
      • Technical aptitude, as evidenced by Bachelor of Computer Science, IT/Storage/System administration or equivalent experience in the storage technical fields.
