Job Description:
Who We Are: Dusty Robotics is a venture-backed startup
automating construction through advanced robotics. Dusty envisions
a future in which construction workers make use of robotic
automation to make their work safer, more efficient, and more
precise; a future in which they don't need to retire early because
their bodies give out. In Dusty's vision, the buildings where we
live, work and play are built by teams of creative and
problem-solving construction crews, who are directing robots to do
the physically demanding and dangerous work. The centerpiece of our
strategy is the FieldPrinter: a mobile printer-on-wheels that
prints building floorplans (in CAD format) full-size on the
concrete floor of a construction site. Our robot prints lines,
text, and points with 1 mm accuracy, enabling builders to construct
walls and fixtures on top of our layout with zero mistakes:

growing our team of exceptional engineers. Our software development
team builds the software that runs the FieldPrinter robot as well
as workflow management systems that are driving automation into the
process of constructing buildings. All of this software is designed
to support automated testing. As a Senior QA Engineer, you---ll
build the tools and systems for scaling QA through automation.
You---ll build automated testing for the robot---s onboard systems,
cloud-hosted microservices, and various user interfaces. Some of
this automated testing will run against simulators, but some will
also run on real robots in a lab testing environment. As a hardware
company, we operate in the physical world, so you will be designing
test environments in physical as well as virtual spaces. You---ll
also be responsible for testing software features directly,
developing test plans and working in cross-functional teams with
software engineers to develop tests in parallel with feature
development. And you---ll occasionally visit local construction
sites to observe and test our product in real construction
environments. Who You Are: Experienced in software, hardware and
firmware QA testing: test plans, automated testing, bug tracking
and the software development lifecycle Experience in developing an
automated testing platform that other engineers can contribute to
Proficiency in Python and equally comfortable with Linux and
Windows Proficiency in automated testing platforms such as Selenium
Continuous seeker of new tools, technologies and techniques to
improve how you test software Excellent communication skills: able
to explain technical concepts simply and clearly Able to react well
to changes, work with multiple teams and multi-task on multiple
products and projects Bachelor---s degree in Computer Science or
equivalent experience Our Code of Conduct: Dusty Robotics exists to
serve a wide variety of customers from all walks of life. We
believe that our mission is best served in an environment that is
friendly, safe, accepting, and free of intimidation or harassment.
We do not tolerate abusive behavior. Strong, effective teams are
composed of people with diverse backgrounds and experiences who can
bring a variety of perspectives to their work. We actively
encourage applications from a diverse pool, including those from
historically under-represented groups such as women, people of
color, people who identify LGBTQ, veterans, people with
disabilities, and immigrants. We are an equal opportunity employer
and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the
basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual
orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability
status.
