Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience1 year of experience or internship in engineering, developing system or subsystem consumer electronics in a cross-functional team Preferred qualifications:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer EngineeringExperience in program/project management and developing a consumer electronics product through an entire lifecycle Experience researching new technology and developing algorithms, custom sub-systems, module technology, embedded firmware, test, and cross-functional software validationAbility to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environmentFamiliarity with specifications, customer features/performance metrics, and data gathering techniques/analysis methodsKnowledge of consumer electronics hardware development/manufacturing processes, vendor relations, and CMs in Asia About the job Our Hardware team researches, designs, and develops technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, more powerful, and seamless. Whether finding ways to capture and sense the world around us, advancing form factors, or improving interaction methods, our Hardware team is making people's lives better through technology.As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects, using your engineering expertise. You'll plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You will explain analyses and recommendations to executives, and discuss technical decisions in product development with engineers.You will work with hardware, software, and operations engineers, product managers, custom manufacturers (CMs), original device manufacturers (ODMs), and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to get products built, tested, and released on-time. You'll coordinate many fast-changing, moving parts and get them to come together as a product. You'll utilize excellent communication and answer all questions about schedules and progress updates. Responsibilities Manage the development of camera modules, driving the overall tactical execution and strategy of the team for one or more systems.Lead a cross-functional team to execute tactical solutions to camera module development risks and issues, meeting system build milestones, cost, quality, and manufacturability.Develop, manage, and optimize schedules and resource needs with engineering and operations teams, communicating project status to stakeholders and leadership. -Interact between vendors and cross-functional engineering/operations teams, driving builds and managing camera module development budgets and performance.Implement process improvements proactively to streamline module development.
