Senior Generalist Python Developer / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Start-up

Job Description:

An experienced Python developer looking to join a team formulating, designing, and implementing unique machine learning algorithms for distinctive commercial applications. The developer will be responsible for working with machine learning engineers and data scientists on core algorithmic and product development, as well as systems that support these functions.

Requirements:
Extensive programming skills and in-depth knowledge of Python. Knowledge and experience developing C/C++ extensions for the CPython interpreter and in-depth knowledge of the Python standard library and data model are a bonus.
Knowledge and experience with common third-party modules and frameworks for Python, with some emphasis towards numeric applications. These modules could include NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, pytz, Django, Flask, and other common frameworks.
Emphasis towards designing for testability and developer ease.
Knowledge of distributed systems, cluster management and/or hosting platforms, and their corresponding Python APIs, is a bonus.
A preference for simplicity, a willingness to learn from others, a willingness to teach, and a good sense of humor.
