Partner Technology Manager, Google Assistant, Android Auto

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience working in software platform engineering with programming experience.
• Experience explaining technical problems easily to engineers, business development, and internal/external executives.
• Experience with C/C++, Java, Python, Go, or other scripting languages. Preferred qualifications:
  • Android OS embedded or application software development experience.
  • Experience in Speech and NLU/G integrations or digital voice assistants, and automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple time-sensitive initiatives with minimum guidance and high attention to detail
  • Able to jump into both Google and Android codebases, understand complex code flows, and submit patches. As a Partner Technology Manager (PTM) on the Android Automotive Partner Engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of the automotive industry, ensuring cars launch with a voice-first Assistant that is the simplest and safest way to stay connected, productive, and entertained in the car. You will work closely with external partners and internal teams to serve as the voice of the automotive industry and help steer the direction of Google's architecture and codebase while balancing the unique partner implementation details. You'll proactively identify gaps and potential issues, drive solutions, and then scale these solutions to the entire automotive industry. Responsibilities
    • Architect solutions for partner features within Android Automotive.
    • Work directly with partners to triage, debug, and resolve bugs found during implementation.
    • Gain a deep technical understanding of the Google internal product(s) which you will be the Subject Matter Expert of in our Android Automotive Partner Engineering team.
    • Cultivate robust relationships with Android Automotive partners' engineering teams; understand what they need to be successful.
