• 8+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale or enterprise web, software, or mobile applications.
• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Strong leadership experience: Leading enterprise cross-functional workshops, presenting, technical go to person.
• Solid design and coding skills (Java, J2EE, PHP, Ruby, Perl, XML, REST, SOAP, JSON, Python, Serverless)
• Strong OOD and SOA principles, with ability to implement them in a language of choice (Java/J2EE)
• Strong experience leading design and implementation of robust and highly scalable services
• Operate at varying levels of abstraction from business strategy to product strategy to high level technical design to detailed technical design to implementation
• Synthesize achievable solutions from diverse inputs, alternative sources (build / buy / partner) and complex data
• Expertise throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Expertise in Salesforce (Lightning, Apex) and AWS Native Services (e.g. Lambda, Step Functions) a plus.
• 5+ years of experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST.
• Leadership expertise in the Software design/architecture process.
• Building strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitative leadership, attract and retain key talent.--Team/Leadership Qualifications--

  • "Self-starter" attitude and the ability to make decisions independentlyHow you will lead-------------- Define and own the outcomes for the VEP Platform team-------------- Drive significant technology initiatives end to end and across multiple layers of architecture-------------- Architecting and developing web applications, services, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POC-'s)-------------- Own non-functional requirements; synthesize business requirements and technical specifications; initiative planning-------------- Act as the technical subject matter expert: Mentor engineers, demonstrate technical expertise, and lead teams solving challenging business and technical problems-------------- Recommend development best practices for application development-------------- Roughly 15% to 50% hands-on development-------------- Generate technical specifications to communicate architectural and design options; educate development teams and business users-------------- Own the entire lifecycle for our deliverables from functional requirements through development, testing, deployment, and production support.-------------- Lead cross-functional Intuit teams including: product management, various product lines, central technology teams, and/or business units to drive for results-------------- Demonstrate a passion for developing well architected, elegant, web and/or mobile apps-------------- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies-------------- Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms-------------- Actively stay abreast of mobile/SaaS/PaaS trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning-------------- Pursue and resolve complex or unchartered technical problems and share key learnings-------------- Provide/inspire innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit as a whole-------------- Apply your experience and innovation to generate creative ideas for emerging business needs-------------- Provide perspective on leading industry trends, recommendations on new and emerging technologies, technology prototypes, patent proposals and engineering process improvements
