Marriott International, a global leader in the hospitality industry with more than 8,000 properties across 139 countries, is seeking a dedicated Banquets Houseperson to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of banquet functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet rooms, ensuring each event space is impeccably presented and equipped according to event specifications. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges and the chance to interact with people from all over the world. Set up banquet rooms as per the provided floor plan or event order, including tables, chairs, stage, dance floor, and any special equipment requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet, meeting, and conference areas before, during, and after events. Assist in the transportation and storage of food and equipment. Act quickly to make necessary adjustments to room setup based on special requests or other requirements as instructed by the banquet manager or supervisor. Work closely with the banquet kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction. Ensure safety standards are met and all equipment is handled and stored properly. Provide excellent customer service to guests and address any concerns or questions during events. Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Good physical stamina and mobility Attention to detail Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in hospitality or event management is a plus, but not required
