Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation / Acute Care / Outpatient
Employment Type: Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Weekend Rotation |
$15,000 Sign-On Bonus The Physical Therapist is responsible for
delivering medically prescribed evaluations and treatments aimed at
restoring functionality, enhancing mobility, and preventing
disabilities in patients with various conditions, including
musculoskeletal, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, neurological, and
integumentary issues. The primary focus of services is in Inpatient
Rehabilitation, with additional support provided in Acute Care and
Outpatient Rehabilitation as necessary, adhering to hospital
policies, state licensing regulations, and federal guidelines. Key
Responsibilities: Conduct physical therapy evaluations and
follow-up assessments. Create and execute personalized care plans
based on physician directives. Administer skilled physical therapy
interventions, such as therapeutic exercises, gait training,
balance training, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, and
functional mobility enhancement. Inform patients and their
caregivers about treatment objectives, home exercise routines, and
safety measures. Record evaluations, treatments, and discharge
summaries in the electronic medical record (EMR). Collaborate with
multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Ensure adherence to state
practice regulations, CMS guidelines, Joint Commission standards,
and hospital policies. Participate in weekend rotation duties.
Qualifications: Education and Experience: Degree in Physical
Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate, or Certificate). Valid
state Physical Therapy license. Current Basic Life Support (BCLS)
certification from AHA upon hire, with maintenance of certification
