About the Role

This position will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for its peer group, providing direct onsite implementation support for ongoing learning and development within their role specific discipline. In this role you will be part of the Nursing team and work as a member of the Float Pool, executing the MAPS responsibilities within a defined MSA. This role will support your peers in operational implementation of existing, new and enhanced core patient care work flows (WFs) and processes that lead to Nursing Excellence.

Essential Functions:

This role will be required to work up to 60% of time in MAPS role and 40% of time within their discipline and modality(s) of expertise on a routine basis. The goal is to assure maintenance of expert level knowledge and skills, related to clinical and operational processes and systems supporting safe delivery of patient care.
Serve as the SME for peer support to reinforce and guide accurate SPIN EHR documentation. Including SPIN Station and SPIN Chairside discipline related functions, inclusive of initial and follow-up documentation requirements. -
Support implementation of new SPIN functions and enhancement integration into day to day work environment.
Support onsite routine auditing for ICHD and Home programs of care delivery as required to meet CMS regulations, NW QIA projects and internal improvement opportunities. Inclusive of, but not limited to dialysis access function and appearance, integration of core processes, infection control practices, policy and procedures as required to meet Conditions for Coverage (CfC).
Support ICHD and Home programs in responsive efforts for focused QI or Research projects, geared towards improvement, growth and innovation opportunities.
Attend team meetings, conference calls, industry calls and trainings as required to maintain up to date knowledge in association with assigned priorities.
Know, understand, and follow employee guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures.
Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of the MAPS position.

Minimum Education & Experience:

Active RN licensure or other credentials specific to discipline
Current performance at Advanced/Expert/Master or Preceptor level within discipline
5 years of Dialysis/Nephrology experience required

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Must work within the Float Pool 60% of time in MAPS role and 40% in modality direct patient care. - -
Must be flexible and responsive to organizational priorities
Must be able to travel within a defined MSA as need dictates
Experience in navigating MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
Deals with confidential information aligned with SHC ethics and standards of conduct and professional judgment
