*Assistant Clinical Manager/Registered Nurse Emergency,* you will
direct and supervise daily operations, resources, employees, and
performance improvement on a 24-hour basis in collaboration with
the clinical nurse manager. You will also develop management skills
pursuant to growth to higher level management position.The
assistant manager assists in development and attainment of the
unit's goals.* Emergency Department* Part Time* Day shift - 12
hours*Assistant Clinical Manager Qualifications** Bachelors of
Science in Nursing (BSN) Masters degree in Nursing or in a
health-related field is preferred* 3 years clinical experience in
specialty area.* Epic user experience preferred* Previous
management experience preferred* Demonstrated excellence in
interpersonal skills and teamwork* Ability to organize, prioritize
and delegate appropriately.*Assistant Clinical Manager Registered
Nurse (RN) License/Certification/Registration Requirements**
Current CA Registered Nurse - California Board of Registered
Nursing* Current Basic Lifesaving (BLS) Certification - American
Heart Association per unit standards.* Current Advanced Cardiac
Lifesaving (ACLS) Certification - American Heart Association per
unit standards.* Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) -
American Academy of Pediatrics per unit standards.* Specialty
certification preferred*Responsibilities Include:** Ensures staff
provide high quality, accessible, cost effective care, and patient
focused services while complying with local, state, and federal
requirements* Assists with the monitoring of financial performance
and identifies/implements strategies to reduce costs and improve
quality of care/service while reviewing budgets for the appropriate
use of human and material resources* Provides clinical supervision
to patient care staff* Determines the appropriate staff mix for the
department and screen, interview, hire, train, and maintain the
competency of all department staff* Assists with and resolves human
resource, employee and department safety, and risk management
issues.* Ensures on going staff development* Facilitates the
advancement of nursing practice and assumes twenty-four hour
responsibility* Monitors and develops standards of care and
standards of practice, fiscal management, and quality improvement
activities* Ensures staff provides the highest quality of care and
is in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint
Commission, federal, state, and local requirements*Salary
