The Director of Systems Integration will own the definition and integration of modular solutions to build a scalable OTTAVA robotic surgical business impacting millions of patients and expanding the capabilities of physicians globally. At Johnson & Johnson Robotics and Digital Solutions, we're changing the trajectory of health for humanity, using robotics to enhance healthcare providers' abilities and improve diagnoses, treatments, and recovery times for patients. J&J Robotics was established in 2020 with the integration of Auris Health, Verb Surgical, C-SATS, and Ethicon. It comprises three key med-tech platforms: Flexible Robotics (MONARCH--), Surgical Robotics (OTTAVA---) and Digital Solutions. Join our collaborative, rapidly growing teams based in the San Francisco Bay Area (Redwood City and Santa Clara), Cincinnati, and Seattle. You'll collaborate on breakthrough medical technologies that unite multiple subject areas to build a connected digital ecosystem that advances medical professionals' skills and improves patient outcomes. This director will be a key technical and strategic leader on one of the most exciting programs and J&J and in healthcare in general! The candidate must bring a strong blend of technical ability and people leadership to bear on this critical role. They must also balance depth in robotics with a passionate focus on understanding and meeting the needs of clinicians and operating room staff. Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of 40+ engineers and managers in the integration of complex robotic hardware and software across all capital subsystems and the full system level
• Establish team initiatives to achieve program goals and improve functional excellence in mechatronic design and prototyping, hardware/software integration, incorporating clinical feedback into design, characterization and test design, and system bring-up and stabilization
• Champion teamwork between the OTTAVA Hardware, Software, Clinical, and Systems Engineering teams
• Mentor and coach senior managers, managers, and individual contributors
• Maintain functional alignment within OTTAVA R&D leadership
• Provide strategic integration mentorship to OTTAVA Senior Leadership
