  • 15 years of experience in product management, engineering, and technology strategy roles within the consumer product space
  • Experience with AI and ML (i.e., camera vision, NLU, language models) and shipping AI/ML based products
  • Experience building and launching mobile apps on iOS and AndroidPreferred qualifications:
    • Experience providing product outlook and roadmaps, directing successful consumer product launches across markets, and creating innovative, successful products
    • Experience working collaboratively with multi-functional teams, including, complex product work and outbound customer work
    • Ability to prioritize and balance work and resources across teams while ensuring milestones are met on time and with high quality standards
    • Ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team of product managers, including innovative thinking, collaboration, and comfort in solving ambiguous problems
    • Outstanding product portfolio, demonstrating clear insights, instinct for user needs and an understanding of the market landscape
      About the jobAs Director, you will be a product management leader, building consumer products with AI/ML at the core. You will lead Product Management for all of the Consumer and AI software experiences for Google Home and Nest, including our suite of AI/ML products and features (i.e., camera perception, LLMs, etc.), Home and Nest Apps, Nest Aware and Renew subscriptions, Home+Pixel initiatives, Google Assistant in the Home, and vertical experiences which support our first-party and third-party hardware products (e.g., cameras, TV streamers, thermostats).In this role, you will drive the outlook and product roadmap for consumer app and AI experiences and deliver high quality and impactful launches through close partnership with engineering and design.The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users' homes more helpful.       The US base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000-$363,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.       • Drive the roadmap, productionization, and development process for our product roadmap leveraging AI/ML.
      • Drive our profit maximizing strategy by scaling our consumer subscription service by both identifying how to grow our TAM and ARPU.
      • Be a key advocateand spokesperson for Google's consumer experience with hardware.
      • Be a key advocate and speaker for the product and be able to interface with the press and C-level executives within Google and at partner companies.
      • Lead and inspire a team of product managers, while also collaborating with cross-functional partners (e.g., cross-organizational engineers (software and hardware), Business Development, Marketing, etc.) in order to perfect the consumer experience.
