About the teamTaara is X's project to expand global access to fast,
affordable internet with beams of light. Learn more about Taara
here .About the roleWe're looking for a strategic thinker and
execution partner to help Taara go to market with partners around
the world. You are a true player-coach who can roll-up your sleeves
to drive detailed analysis, while also zooming out with a strategic
lens. You will ensure the team is getting out into the real world,
learning and iterating on creative ways to deliver meaningful value
and impact for our partners and the communities we serve. You will
bring energy, creativity, and an open mindset to lead the
development and execution of Taara's growth strategy, in close
collaboration with cross-functional groups both within the team and
across our partner organizations. You will help discover and grow
product-market fit for Taara's breakthrough technology.The role is
based in Mountain View but will involve global travel, as Taara is
deploying its technology in various regions around the world.How
you will make 10x impact:
- Design, execute and iterate Taara's go-to-market strategy,
working closely with product, business, operations, and engineering
teams on Taara and cross-functional teams at partner organizations.
Formalize and expand on customer insights and market research, in
partnership with the product and business teams.
- Enhance the positioning and messaging for existing and new
iterations of Taara's technology by understanding market demand,
competitive landscape, emerging trends and problem statements
across internet service providers, telcos, and the broader
ecosystem of stakeholders invested in digital infrastructure
development.
- Define the value proposition for Taara's target markets,
develop compelling pricing and pricing models, and create
distribution channels.What you should have:
- 10+ years of experience leading regional or global teams
ideally in a startup environment -
- Proven track record of execution and ability to drive company
growth through early stages in a non-standard, experimental and
iterative ways to find product market fit and communicating that in
a compelling way to internal and external industry
stakeholders
- Extensive experience in a complex strategic commercial role and
familiarity with valuation and pricing of new hardware
products
- Experience developing sales / distribution channels, building
out commercialization plan in telco, fixed wireless industries

- Strong business acumen, modeling and operational integrity with
the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional
teams at all levels of the organization
- Analytical thinker with creative problem solving; influences
senior stakeholders to drive change
- A quick learner, eager to explore new technologies and
experiments
- Startup experience and mentality a must, with the ability to
shift between strategy and execution, and thrive in an ambiguous
and dynamic environment
- Ability to prioritize and execute competing priorities and
effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, high energy,
constantly evolving, team environmentIt'd be great if you also had
these:
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with
experience interacting with senior-level executives as well as
across all levels of an organization
- Extensive experience in devising and executing go to market
strategy in emerging markets, with a particular focus in India and
Africa
- Hardware experience in semiconductors or integrated
photonics
- Extensive experience buying or selling telecommunications
infrastructure and/or technology in deals directly involving mobile
carriers or similar - The US base salary range for this full-time
position is $205,000 - $304,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our
salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within
the range, individual pay is determined by work location and
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and
relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about
