    SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
    We're looking for a standout Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to drive our portfolio-wide product sustainability efforts. As the product marketing leader focusing on environmental sustainability, you'll drive the strategy for analyzing, quantifying, and reporting and marketing the significant environmental benefits we deliver to customers across our FlashArray, FlashBlade and Evergreen portfolio. You'll not only be responsible for the messaging and positioning of the environmental benefits and differentiators of our product portfolio, but also for working closely with our Corporate Social Responsibility, Finance and Product teams to drive our product sustainability reporting activities and roadmap. You will partner with product management and engineering to distill the nuances of our services, product technologies and manufacturing into consumable environmental sustainability benefits and then work with CSR, finance, marketing, sales and channels to ensure integrated marketing campaigns are in place to articulate and capitalize on these benefits. You'll bring a highly analytical and quantitative approach to product marketing, and understand the intricacies and differentiators of our technologies and connect those to our highly varied set of stakeholders and audiences in this space. You'll also be an evangelist comfortable speaking with our sales teams, partners, and technical end users as well as IT executives.
    Responsibilities
    • Build out and drive execution of our product sustainability analysis and marketing efforts.
    • Be the center of the execution hub and single point of contact between CSR, Finance, Marketing, Sales and Product for our product and services
    • Lead Life Cycle Assessments and other quantitative reporting activities on individual products and services across the portfolio, including securing third-party validation
    • Assist the greater sustainability project team to leverage opportunities in the product design phase and beyond to reduce energy, carbon, water and waste intensities
    • Organize information in a collaborative, knowledge sharing fashion, collecting and developing lessons learned and case studies
    • Own use-phase analysis comparisons for field and marketing purposes
    • Partner with corporate marketing to develop detailed campaign project plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies, including campaign goals, messaging, calls to action, segmentation strategy, adoption campaigns, marketing distribution channels, and campaign schedule for our product sustainability efforts
    • Drive seller and partner enablement and success for product sustainability. Ensure sellers and partners can not only articulate the environmental sustainability benefits of our portfolio effectively, but also have the tools and programs they need in order to meet their targets
    • Regularly engage with industry analysts to educate them and keep them up-to-date on the sustainability differentiation of our product and solutions
    • Work effectively across Pure Storage with groups such as engineering, product management, corporate marketing, sales and channels and finance to achieve our joint business goals
      What You'll Need To Bring To This Role...
      • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, technology, or relevant field of study such as computer science
      • 7+ years of relevant work experience in fields such as technical marketing, technical pre-sales, consulting, training, or product marketing/management
      • Strong background and experience in quantitative and data analysis.
      • Strong technology orientation and background, and ability to dissect, understand and analyze our technical specifications and configurations
      • Strong presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Critical problem-solving ability and outside-in thinking.
