Position SummaryWe are looking for a Staff Program Manager - Product & Engineering to join us and partner with our global Director, Chief of Staff Management Office (CoSMO) to supercharge the Engineering and Product Management teams building and launching products in this key area.

The responsibilities include CoSMO activities to optimize this new functional area in order to increase productivity and effectiveness, and as point person for clarifying strategic level goals and outlining the execution plans to achieve them. You will own and drive strategic initiatives while working closely with our head of product and our head of engineering, as well as their managers, digging in and getting the job done employing both a strategic and tactical approach.

The qualified candidate should have strong Program Manager experience in a large-scale and complex corporate environment. An individual who is self-motivated and driven and has demonstrated commitment to take accountability and responsibility for the success of large programs with ambiguity and competing priorities. Role and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to define and scale new processes driven by business data and customer satisfaction
  • Drive global rhythm-of-the-business (ROB) across P&E and encompassing other Samsung Ads forums
  • Effectively collaborate with business group leadership across multiple domains
  • Manage the planning and review process of team KPIs (MBOs)
  • Lead the planning process and calendar for the product & engineering organization while ensuring coordination and alignment with divisional planning. This includes quarterly internal business reviews, leadership team off-sites, P&E leadership team staff meetings, etc.
  • Prepare presentations and documents for internal and external meetings
  • Participate in budget management for the organization across all major development sites (U.S, Canada, India, and Korea)
  • Structure, kick-off, and run continuous and/or time-bound programs within and beyond the organization by clarifying priorities, enabling the execution of deliverables, defining program process flows, and providing continuous transparency
  • Program manage various initiatives within and beyond P&E, across multiple teams; taking a hands-on and proactive approach to unblock progress, introduce efficiencies, and provide workflow solutions
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
  • Build and maintain alignment across multiple teams for keeping a focus on execution, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Lead the introduction of new processes/workflows, to benefit Engineering teams or cross-organizational initiatives, by bringing proposed solutions to the teams and rolling them out in an iterative manner
  • Manage headcount processes including discussions and decision-making about optimal distributions and trade-offs
  • Oversee talent management and hiring process in close partnership with HR and Talent Acquisition teams
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks - by having close involvement with teams' goals and challenges, applying past experience, and keeping in mind the big picture Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong technical aptitude/affinity; experience working directly with software, data, test, and product management, as well as finance, operations, talent acquisition, human resources, and/or other departments
    • High attention to detail and relentless follow-through commitment and accountability
    • Experience partnering with Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver customer-facing features
    • Experience working in a complex global enterprise environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication; experience effectively communicating and presenting to teams located across different locations and people ranging from individual team members to C-level executives
    • Experience navigating interdependencies affecting complex projects (product and engineering alignment, engagement models, communications, and change management)
    • Strong leadership skills; Able to independently influence and resolve conflicts with others
    • Self-starter; able to work well in an ambiguous and constantly changing, fast-paced environment
    • Comfortable working on multiple programs at once
