TikTok has global offices including Los Angeles, Mountain View, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Jakarta, Seoul, and Tokyo.As an Program Manager in TikTok's US Trust & Safety organization, you will be the glue that ensures our policies, programs, and systems work together to protect consumers and prevent abuse. Reporting to the Strategy & Analytics team, you will push new projects, policy, and operational changes forward on a wide range of features across the entire safety ecosystem. You will be working with a variety of stakeholders across the globe, including Product, Policy, Quality, Communications, and Legal to ensure that TikTok is able to detect, triage, and, if possible, prevent safety incidents from proliferating on our platform. Responsibilities- Be a subject matter expert in various US Trust and Safety policies, and work closely with cross-functional partners to identify, assess, and resolve escalations and safety-related issues in our products. - Craft moderation and process projects from problem definition to final execution, and drive principled methods to ensure our processes and workflows are optimized.- Combine working knowledge of machine learning models, data analytics, and policy issue expertise to solve business problems- Identify gaps and inconsistencies with products or processes, develop hypotheses to test, and use those results to inform best practices.- Collaborate with our US Safety Data team to ensure that the metrics we track are actionable and lead to cogent and achievable strategy.- Own and manage the communication plan for risks and solutions related to new initiatives and projects.Qualifications- Minimum BA/BS degree- 1-3 years of work experience in Trust & Safety, operational, or risk management roles, 4+ years of work experience in total.- Experience with working with content moderation operations, and coordinating with crossfunctional teams, such as product and policy, to create and execute new projects. - Ability to work with data science and analytics teams to measure the success of product and/or process changes and make data-driven decisions.- Experience with sensitive content issues and moderation, including but not limited to graphic content, offensive or derogatory language, child safety, and other potentially objectionable material.- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and make decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations.- Attention to detail, highly self-driven, and results-oriented.- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.- Deep understanding of abuse trends specific to US cultural norms and sensitivities.Preferred qualifications- Experience working with international partners at different time zones- Bilingual in English and at least one other language (e.g., Mandarin)- Experience managing complex research projects from ideation to completion- Exposure to machine-learning and moderation processes. - Experience working with SQL and advanced proficiency in ExcelTikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
