an exciting opportunity for a Director, Lean Master/Master Black
Belt (MBB) Global Head of Continuous Measurable Improvement to
develop and drive a company-wide, transformational business
excellence program that leverages Lean Six Sigma and other
approaches to enhance our organizational capabilities in service of
business growth.The position will be responsible for creating and
disseminating the business excellence/Lean Six Sigma vision for the
company and to drive programmatic approaches that are sustained and
expanded over time. Consequently, its holder will champion a
continuous measurable improvement mindset that enables business
effectiveness and efficiency, role modeled by leaders, and enabled
by all 4,200+ Puritans around the globe.The Director of Business
Excellence/Continuous Measurable Improvement (CMI) will work
closely with the senior leadership team to translate our business
strategy and priorities into a meaningful portfolio of
cross-functional improvement projects as well as create the
conditions for bottoms up projects to be evaluated and executed.
This role will ensure that proper program execution governance is
in place and that the suitable business excellence training
curriculum and coaching are available and utilized throughout Pure
Storage.Your ImpactDevelops the CMI vision and programmatic
approach & governance that best suits Pure Storage's business
strategy and cultureResponsible for the creation of governance body
(i.e. CMI/LSS council) that drives a business management system
designed to facilitate rapid, radical and revolutionary
transformation activities across the Pure enterpriseAssists
business teams in managing, coordinating and prioritizing their
business excellence project portfolio in ways that enable Pure to
achieve productivity gainsWork in coordination with other
functional areas such as Strategy, Finance, and HR to position
business excellence as a key enabler of business transformation,
productivity gains, talent development and culture changePromotes
Lean Six Sigma methodology and culture transformation by conducting
Black Belt, Green Belt, Kaizen Leader, Project Sponsor and Yellow
Belt awareness sessions throughout PureSupports recruitment and
evaluation of Black Belt, Green Belt, and Lean Expert
candidatesDevelops, maintains, and revises business excellence/CMI
training curriculum and serves as the liaison with external
agencies for training deliveryCoaches Black Belts, Green Belts,
Kaizen Lead and Project Sponsors through DMAIC and Kaizen
activities to accelerate execution and completion leveraging data
and problem solving techniques with rigorEnsures rigor in the
CMI/Lean Six Sigma process is maintained across Pure Storage
Conducts periodic performance reviews of the Business
Excellence/CMI program itself and continuously improves own
approachCandidate ProfileBachelor's Degree required in Engineering
and/or Business AdministrationVast experience developing and
leading corporate level CMI or Lean Six Sigma programs and their
corresponding governance process. Broad knowledge and application
experience in leading Lean Six Sigma initiatives, continuous
process improvement, structured problem solving, TQM tools and
methodologies. 10+ years of experience in industries known for
their advanced capabilities in business excellenceCertified Six
Sigma Black Belt and Lean Master, with experience as a corporate
Master Black BeltExcellent influence, team building and change
management competenciesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills
with the ability to acquire, assimilate, and analyze data from
multiple systems and data sources using a variety of business
intelligence and reporting toolsStrong communication and
presentation skills adaptable for engaging with multiple levels
across the organizationAbility to operate and take initiative in an
environment of ambiguity; holds themselves and team members
accountable for a high level of performanceProject management
experience, team facilitation, data analysis, change management,
best practice translation, and process improvement experienceDomain
expertise in software tools required for proper statistical
