Job Title Sr. Project Manager, Labs Job Description Summary The
Senior Project Manager, Labs is responsible for executing a project
or group of highly technical, Custom Business Space, projects from
conceptualization to successful conclusion; accountable for
defining the goals and intended outcomes of each project along with
project scope, risk, procurement methodology, schedule, and budget.
Lead the design, permitting, and construction of the project
through the use of established processes, experience, and expertise
while providing exceptional communication to all project
stakeholders. As a leader and expert within the project management
team, you will mentor other members of the Project & Development
Services organization. You will lead/support aspects of the Capital
Planning process, helping to establish and track against business
unit level 1, 3, 5 year capital plans. Job Description Roles &
Responsibilities Assemble and manage a project team of internal and
external professionals to deliver the entire project lifecycle
Directly oversee and manage all project development and
pre-construction efforts Develop and review Project Charters/plans
with all stakeholders for the project deliverables Develop and
maintain product requirement documentation, ensuring that user
needs are clear, and technical requirements are well defined for
current and future state Lead day-to-day workflow of
cross-functional project teams, ensuring work is completing as
planned Manage technical specifications and documentations, and own
all project-related task management Proactively identify potential
project risks, and identity solutions to address them in advance
Serve as the key point of contact for project teams and
stakeholders Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations
Prepare and/or review project contracts Play critical leadership,
coordination, and communication role with all stakeholders
Regularly monitor the progress of all sites by completing site
visits Ensure the project plan, scope, work structure, schedule,
and budget are maintained by all the involved parties (e.g.
consultants, engineers, architects, vendors, etc.) Create, evaluate
and maintain project schedules Support project programming phase
for development of preliminary ROM (rough order of magnitude)
budgets Develop detailed project budgets; monitor and ensure
budgets are met anf provide accurate cash forecasting throughout
the projects delivery Responsible for developing and maintaining
business units capital planning budgets, tracking, and reporting
Track savings opportunities and cost avoidance for client
documentation Oversee document preparation and completion (e.g.
contracts, close-outs, punch lists, etc.) Create and evaluate
project reporting; provide timely and accurate project status
reporting to internal and external parties Continually seek and
capitalize upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and
deepen client relationships Assist with new business pursuits and
process optimization Meeting management - develop agendas, assign
action items and track to completion for regularly occurring
project meetings, client meetings, special topics meetings, etc.
Review and comprehension of building systems along with
internal/external team members for recommendation and optimization
of project scope with respect to project requirements, budget,
schedule, etc. Participate in the recruiting strategies, interview
new hire candidates and contribute to hiring decisions Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a
related discipline and experience 10+ years of project or
construction management experience 5+ years of MEP systems
experience with respect to preconstruction and construction
management Or any similar combination of education and experience
Broad understanding of the construction industry Exhibits strong
leadership qualities Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous
and/or competing priorities Can work independently in a
deadline-sensitive and fast-paced environment A passion for the
intersection of technology and creativity Experience managing
projects with a distributed team Strong written and verbal
communication skills Certification in PE, AIA, LEED, or CMAA
preferred PMP certification or ability to pursue Solid
understanding of the construction industry, terminology, codes,
documentation, and design disciplines Advanced knowledge of
Microsoft Office, G-Suite, etc. Proficiency with project management
tools (e.g. Procore, Clarizen, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project,
Bluebeam Revu) Strong organization with proven leadership and
interpersonal skills Prior experience managing capital programs in
excess of $1 Mil. Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure
in a fast-paced, high volume environment Detail oriented and
thorough Proven record of providing excellent internal and external
customer service Excellent oral and written communication skills,
including presentation skills Physical Requirements Involves work
of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of
sitting and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours a day May
involve periods of standing, such as operating at a
copier/fax/scanner or standing desk Regularly required to talk,
hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type Ability to speak
clearly so others can understand you Ability to climb a ladder
Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented
orally and in writing Ability to communicate information and ideas
in writing and orally so others will understand Regularly required
to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material,
