Marketing Director
Specialized is seeking a Marketing Director to join our Global
team. We are looking for a highly collaborative, creative, and
experienced marketing leader to embark on a new journey for the
brand. Candidates who like to push the boundaries of an established

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Partner with company leadership to be the holistic driver of
brand experience for a new and rapidly scaling business
unit
- Develop and manage 18-month, annual, and seasonal omni-channel
marketing strategy; gathering ongoing competitive insights,
customer preferences, and zeitgeist trends to inform strategies and
stay relevant
- Develop and present thoughtful marketing briefs to both
creative teams and marketing channel owners that communicate clear
objectives, insights, inspiration, and messaging
- Be the strategy lead for marketing campaigns end to end from
creative concept to asset planning to execution ensuring brand
initiatives are brought to life in a way that meets brand
experience objective and business requirements
- Assist in the development of all brand and product messaging
opportunities bringing to life brand values in differentiated and
inspiring ways across the full customer journey
- Work cross-functionally with all facets of the Specialized
ecosystem from merchandising to design to creative to editorial to
marketing channel owners to put together thoughtful go-to-market
plans that deliver on business priorities -
- Develop positioning, messaging and go-to-market plans for key
products
- Partner with market-level teams on their marketing plans with
the goal of inspiring and empowering them to bring brand/product
narratives to life in globally consistent yet locally relevant
ways.
- Inspire, motivate, and lead the Brand Marketing team, promoting
a high performance yet fun environment that values speed and
quality, creative exploration, innovation, and continuous
learning
- Manage external creative resources and media agencies as
needed
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
- Passionate about grassroots movements and the power that
bicycles have to improve lives, global communities, and the
planet
- 7+ years of brand marketing experience with global brands, 5+
years working for a direct-to-consumer business is
preferred
- Experience building and leading high-performing, highly engaged
teams and developing top talent at individual contributor
levels
- Highly strategic, creatively oriented and results driven
marketer with a proven track record in campaign development and
brand storytelling
- Strong ability to translate product attributes, brand values,
and cultural connections into unique marketing narratives
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, and ability to
build strong partnerships with internal teammates and external
resources
- Relentlessly curious about Riders of every interest-level and
ambition
- Ability to extract insights from multiple data sources and make
informed decisions that balance the art and science of brand
building
- Highly self-motivated and experience thriving in a fast-paced,
dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills that can be
adapted for audiences at all levels
- Experience in bike industry and working with independent retail
channel owners is a plus
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to
perform job duties and to attend development and market research
opportunities as needed
