Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Global Head of Product and Engineering
for Samsung Ads, the Director, Chief of Staff Management
Organization (CoSMO) serves in the capacity which will drive the
formation of a critical function encompassing all aspects of the
Product & Engineering Leadership Team.
The Director, Chief of Staff Management Organization will own all
facets related to business management, operations, workflows,
organizational development, talent acquisition, and workforce
planning, in addition to guiding strategic development for the
P&E org globally.
The CoSMO leader plays a key role in developing a team culture that
reinforces an inclusive and high-performing group. The ideal
candidate will be a sounding board to the entire organization on
driving and aligning on strategy and execution. In addition, as
Director of CoSMO, you will be an advocate for the team's needs
with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales,
Marketing, Operations, Finance, HR, IT, etc.).
In this role, you'll be responsible for building your team which
will consist of two additional Staff Program Managers, each
dedicated respectively to the Product as well as the Engineering
functions, supporting the department heads, as well as the
Executive Administrative support staff.
Role and Responsibilities
Lead global rhythm-of-the-business (ROB) across Product and
Engineering and that encompasses other Samsung Ads forums.
Manage the planning process and calendar for the organization while
ensuring coordination and alignment with divisional planning. This
includes quarterly internal business reviews, leadership team off
sites, P&E leadership team staff meetings, etc.
Lead organization-wide engagements/meetings (e.g., All Hands,
offsites, team events, etc.)
Prepare presentations and documents for internal and external
meetings, including team All Hands.
Lead budget management for the organization across all major sites
(US, CA, IN, and KR).
Manage headcount processes including discussions and
decision-making about optimal distributions and trade-offs.
Oversee talent management and hiring process in close partnership
with HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
Manage the planning and review process of team KPIs (MBOs).
Develop VP of Product & Engineering internal communications
strategy and employee engagement plan for Global P&E
organization.
Drive valuable perspective, alignment and enablement across the
P&E Leadership Team - ensuring alignment on prioritization and
coordination. Lead LT staff meetings, drive alignment across
topics, and create a forum and facilitation for the leadership team
to operate as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Facilitate the engagements between cross-functional teams - Sales,
BD, Operations, and other internal partners to ensure tight
alignment and help remove any barriers to success.
Skills and Qualifications
10+ years of experience in operations, business management, program
management, product management, or chief-of-staff role.
BA/BS from an accredited college/university and at least 10 years
of relevant professional experience. Unparalleled organizational
skills with the ability to balance multiple, competing projects and
priorities at any given time.
Attention to detail and quality; striving for continuous
improvements.
Exceptional leadership with strong verbal and written communication
skills.
Results-oriented go-getter who does whatever it takes to get the
job done on time.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertain situations, and drive
clarity.
Outstanding interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills that
help influence and work well with all levels within the
organization
