TV Plus is Samsung's direct-to-consumer OTT video service featuring ad-supported linear channels and ad-supported VOD. In the US, TV Plus launched in April 2018 and is currently available on 2017-18 model Samsung Smart TVs, and will be expanding to additional devices in the future.

As a Senior Product Manager for TV Plus, you will have product management ownership of multiple areas of the TV Plus consumer experience on TV and Mobile devices, with a high degree of autonomy and decision-making over product roadmap impacting the future of the business.

This role demands a mix of product and business judgement, technical understanding, principled thinking and domain-specific experience (consumer video/OTT video). Role and Responsibilities

  • Understand and articulate the viewer needs, build associated business cases and prioritize product requirements; synthesize data from various sources to inform product decisions, alongside with good intuition and prior experience
  • Coordinate and synchronize product initiatives across different internal efforts by establishing shared vision and building consensus on common components
  • Communicate product plans, benefits and results to all audiences - internal teams and external partners
  • Product Management responsibility for critical areas of consumer experience for TV Plus service on TVs, mobile devices and emerging platforms. (Formerly, this role was focused on TV only.)
  • Work independently with NASB UX, Consumer Insights and Business Intelligence teams to understand user behavior and pain points and synthesize product requirements and roadmap to satisfy use cases. Collaborate independently with NASB Marketing and Content Operations teams to understand internal constituents' pain points and synthesize product requirements to satisfy use cases.
  • With minimal supervision, work directly with HQ Product Management counterparts to influence and negotiate release schedules and product roadmaps with multi-year, global impact on TVs and Mobile devices. Skills and Qualifications
    • 10+ years of technology experience, including at least 4 years in product management, preferably with additional experience in software engineering or QA.
    • Impactful cross-functional leadership skills and ability to independently influence up and across the organization (within NASB and HQ).
    • Multi-platform product experience, including TV and Mobile. Prefer experience with one or more emerging platforms, such as appliances, automotive, watches, etc.
    • Consumer-facing OTT video streaming product management experience with a track record of building and launching successful products.
    • Familiarity with experience prototyping and other creative ways to gather direct feedback early in the product development process
    • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up product decisions
    • The ability to manage chaos, ambiguity and complexity, in a detailed, organized way
    • Solid knowledge of best practices and trends among OTT video streaming products -
