Position Overview:
Job Summary: The Manager V provides dailyoperations management to assigned areas of the service line at PAMF. TheManager V works closely with the medical group (PAFMG) partners and the ServiceLine Director in assessing value of program development, integration and optimizationof patient care within and beyond the service line. Responsible for management ofdaily operations; demonstrates thorough understanding of financial systems forbudget management, work contents and processes; HR policies and procedures; andIT systems. Role models behavior, supports learning of others and practicesmanagement within a lean operating system. Oversees all daily processes toensure efficiency; directs staff (either directly or through supervisors). TheManager will act as mentor and coach to enable problem solving and will developsmooth functioning teams with a focus on the triple aim: affordability,quality, and satisfaction. Requires appropriate clinical licensure orcertification to evaluate and oversee Registered Nurses.-- . Operation Management:

  • Provides direction todepartment staff which may include supervisors, clinical and clerical supportstaff.
  • Promotes excellent customerservice in line with PAMFCARES philosophy.
  • Responds to patientcomplaints and interfaces with QA department as necessary.
  • Promotes strong communicationwith staff and physicians both intra and inter departmentally. Regularly communicates with staff ondepartment issues, protocols and changes in procedure. Communicates,interprets, supports and enforces PAMF and Sutter Health policies.--
  • Continuously works onprocedures to promote smooth patient flow and utilizes lean principles to driveprocess improvement and set team goals.
  • Strategizes with SLleadership and MD dyad partners to develop standardized, centralized infrastructure,and data-driven standard operations, as appropriate. Financial Management:
    • Demonstrates understanding offinancial systems in order to contribute to budget development and ongoingmanagement of department budget to align with strategic goals, includingoptimizing affordability of services.--Understands financial relationship with medical group. Leadership, Goals andObjectives:
      • Act as leader and champion tonew ideas that contribute to clinical excellence.
      • Monitors and analyzesperformance of staff and departments. Utilizes daily management system toestablish key measurements for department; sets standards and develops goals tocontinuously meet or exceed standard. Manages Human Resources:
        • Coaches, mentors andmotivates staff to work in a collaborative and efficient manner to meet thedepartment goals. Holds staff accountable, attaining objectives and other keyjob accountabilities.
        • Completes annual performancereviews on a timely basis assuring compliance with PAMF and Sutter Healthstandards. Ensures that staff iscomplying with Scope of Practice.
        • Develops standard staffingstructure to ensure consistent clinic operations including hiring of personnel. Organizational Relations andPersonal Competence:
          • Keeps abreast of industry and market trends relative tohealthcare.
          • Maintains appropriate licensure and/or certification.
          • Participates in intra-department and/or intra-affiliateinitiatives
          • Other duties as assigned

            Qualifications:
            Required: Bachelor's-- Or equivalent education/experience;-- Registered Nurse - StateLicensure - RN
            • Minimum of five (5) yearsprogressively responsible workexperience
            • Minimum three (3) yearsproven leadership experience in a large , complex clinic setting includingexperience driving change management
            • Demonstrated understandingand experience in the use of Lean to improve management and operationalprocesses
            • Strong knowledge and experienceunderstanding operational impact on finances, costs and efficiencies

              This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
