Our client, a Saas company in Mountain View, is looking for a Senior Manager of Accounting to join their team. They've had incredible revenue growth with over $180M in funding, and their valuation puts them as a unicorn startup. This role will have plenty of growth opportunity and reports into their Controller, a long-time BVOH client.Responsibilities* Responsible for the full cycle accounting process to include everything from accounts payable, payroll, cash and month-end close* Proactively assist with investigating and resolving questions from vendors, customers and internal business partners around A/P, A/R, Payroll and employee expenses.* Own general accounting processes, including streamlining workflow, reviewing account reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy of deliverables* Help with accounting system implementation projects to scale accounting operations * Document and maintain scalable standard operating procedures with strong controls* Develop an understanding and documentation of complex accounting processes, including internal processes that may affect the financials* Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements* Serve as an internal technical accounting resource to help implement new accounting pronouncements (ex: ASC 718; ASC 340) as well as assess the accounting impact on the current reporting and disclosures* Work with the Controller on various ad hoc projects such as: YE 1099 reporting; accounting process improvements; Audit readiness; Assisting with YE tax filings etc.* Provides mentorship to the accounting teamRequirements* Minimum of 6-8 years of accounting experience* Bachelor's degree in Accounting* Public Accounting experience or experience at a scaling company preferred* Accounting system implementation experience * Proven ability to prioritize workloads across team members with minimal supervision* Detail-oriented, organized and able to perform work at the highest levels of accuracy* Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills to develop a collaborative working relationship with cross-functional teams
