Our iron-rich cathodes are industry proven drivers of EV, ESS, and consumer electronics applications, and our team of industry leaders is developing a robust supply chain and manufacturing pipeline to deliver Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) qualified cathodes to our customers.We have set up a state-of-the-art 15,000 sq ft industrial R&D center in Mountain View, CA. Join our team and be a part of the growing battery revolution.We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure quality of upstream materials and parts that go into Mitra Chem's cathode products for tier one battery customers.Responsibilities:

• Domestic and international travel to customer and supplier sites.
• Drive quality improvements using methodologies such as Six Sigma and lean manufacturing
• Understand which performance and quality metrics matter to customers as Mitra Chem works to scale
• Review drawings and specifications from OEMs and define strategies to increase the value of Mitra Chem's technology
• Collect commercial intelligence research to understand suppliers offerings and pricing structures
• Translate process innovations into yield and cost improvement roadmap
• Work closely and collaboratively with product and engineering organizations to ensure they are delivering against customer requirements and timelines
• Work with Head of Commercial to develop a master timeline that matches product roadmaps and factory scale-up timelines with commercial agreements with core customers
• Working autonomously to drive product quality for key customersQualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar and 3+ years of professional experience in the battery materials space or other hard-tech industry.
  • Technical fluency in chemical material products such as lithium-ion battery cathodes
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, scrappiness and ability to interact with other functions in a cross-disciplinary environment
  • Experience auditing suppliers with quality systems such as AS9100, PPAP, APQP, or SPC
  • Experience translating engineering specifications at the customer level to the material level
  • Fluency in Korean or Mandarin a plusBenefits:

      • The estimated base salary range for this role is $130,000-$145,000.
