Job Description:

This Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer will play a key role in managing our manufacturing process with our global CM locations. More specifically, this person will own all aspects of PCBA and System / Unit level Manufacturing Functional Testing. Work hands-on with R&D to define test processes and required System / Unit run-in testing. Assist our CMs in the implementation of the manufacturing test process from the prototype build to the final production release. The Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer will have the ability to identify any manufacturing functional testing challenges that affect the quality and integrity of our PCBA and Unit level assemblies. Review test related defects to identify root cause analysis. Additional activities will include the creation and management of KPI's and other metrics which will need to be reported on a regular basis. This individual will need to work cross-functionally with other team members, will need to manage changes in priorities and execute plans in a high-tech, highly energized, team-oriented environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • On-site support of production functional product testing, disposition/review of functional test data.
  • Production test infrastructure support to repair, replace, or de-bug Test Fixture, Chassis Test, System Integration Test.
  • Perform SW/FW factory qualification testing - complete package review, ensure consistency of test results, expose instabilities to be reported to R&D.
  • Conducts feasibility and functional requirements studies for functional test routines, focusing on achieving quality results.
  • Develop functional test process based on R&D released test and verification diagnostics.
  • Performs test engineering services to diagnose SW/FW, hardware failures to identify the root cause of failure.
  • Working knowledge of various lab instrumentation and data collection tools.
  • Participates as a team member or lead for manufacturing improvement projects.
    Qualifications:
    • Master's degree in engineering or computer science.
    • 5+ years of experience in a functional test role.
    • Managed a project to lead NPI project from a production test process.
    • Ability to document and present project objectives for a weekly / monthly management review.
    • Experience with statical analysis - excel, mini-tab, tableau, etc. Charts - Graph - First Pass Yield.
    • Successfully root cause issues to component level and engage stakeholders for a resolution strategy.
    • Troubleshoot SW/FW issues and resolve with coordinating with R&D Engineering team.
    • Carry out precise instructions and interpretation of electrical schematics.
    • Strong teamwork, effective problem solving and sound decision making.
    • Working knowledge of PCBA manufacturing and repair process.
    • Resolves issues in creative ways.
    • Exercises independent judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Executes projects from start to completion. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Determines and develops recommendations to solutions.
    • Works on team-driven or task-oriented projects. May guide more junior peers with aspects of their job.
    • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.ABOUT US

      The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $93,000-$162,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
