Within 6 months you will:. Continue learning about the aircraft and subsystem assemblies. Take ownership of new manufacturing/tooling projects. Work with technicians and design engineers to develop tooling, procedures, quality control points, inspection plans, etc.. Purchase and implement new manufacturing equipment. Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services. Within 12 months you will:. Reach high level of familiarity with the aircraft. Continuously improve tooling designs and processes. Efficiently incorporate design changes into manufacturing plans and tools. Improve tools by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment. Required:. Experience working with other engineers to improve the manufacturability of a product (Design for Manufacturing) while controlling cost and weight. Comfortable creating new solutions to problems, working in a dynamic environment, and with members of cross functional teams. Ability to communicate implementation of tooling, such as work instructions, assembly drawings, safety information, and/or new product integration plan. Proficient use of analysis tools such as FEA, CFD, Mass and Volume Evaluation, Thermodynamics. Programming knowledge related to automation of manufacturing processes.
